When not in the office you can usually find Gary with a golf club, fishing rod or yard tool in his hands, unless he is at an Eastern Washington athletic event rooting for the Eagles. He is involved with Kiwanis and is past president of the Kiwanis club of downtown.
Gary was born and raised in Spokane (West Valley High School). He continued his education at the University of Idaho and (after a "hitch" in the Army) Eastern Washington University. Gary spent his summers while he was in college working at Glacier National Park and is always ready to impart his knowledge of the places to see (and the best fishing spots) in Glacier. He has been in public accounting since the late 1970's his primary areas of interest being tax and estate work as well as eldercare services.
Gary and his wife, Jan, have one son who is in the Army. They prevent too much "empty nesting" by being involved in foster care.
